It is our privilege as Christians to share in moments of joy and sadness that mark the journey of our lives. As a parish church we hold baptisms, weddings, funerals and memorial services.
BAPTISM
For many, the terms Baptism and Christening are synonymous. They are used to describe the service where a person makes their own public declaration of faith or where parents promise to raise their child or children in the knowledge and understanding of the Christian faith so that they grow to become followers of Christ themselves. Baptism requires careful planning and preparation. Your first step is to visit the church or to telephone Revd. Pat, to let her know that you are considering a baptism. She will explain the next steps in the process of preparing for Baptism.
WEDDINGS
A wedding is one of life's great moments, a time of solemn commitment as well as good wishes, feasting and joy. The gospel of John tells us how Jesus shared in such an occasion at Cana.
If you would like to find out about getting married at St Christopher’s please contact the office or Revd. Pat
FUNERALS
The death of a loved one is a very stressful time so at St Christopher’s we strive to care for those mourning. In doing this we work closely with family members and funeral directors to ensure an appropriate celebration of the individual’s life takes place. We are available to conduct funerals in our church building as well as in Funeral Chapels or at a graveside. Our church building contains CD, DVD and powerpoint facilities, and an organist is also available. Above all we seek to honour the person and God as we care for those mourning. Please contact the office or Revd. Pat if you would like to arrange a funeral.
